For our bags we use 100% genuine cow leather.
"Vegetable tanned leather" refers to the tannage, or the method of tanning the cowhide into leather. It’s called “vegetable” because of the natural tannins used in the tanning process, like tree bark.
For our products we only use vegetable tanned leather, dyed with anilines to give them color.

The vegetable tanning process results in a thicker leather, that turns soft with use. It also tends to age better and develops a rich patina over time.
Please note that vegetable tanned leather tends to oxidize when exposed to light, air, wind. This may cause the Tan and Forest colors to become darker and even brownish.
Also, as we use anilines to dyed the leather and give it color, in some occasions, this can generate the transmission of Burgundy and Black color when rubbing against the garments.

Please note we do not have all possible combinations published, but we can arrange it for you!

We sell the braided straps exclusively to our customers. We do not sell them separately, unless you already have a MECHA MENDEZ bag!

We are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with each of your purchases. We gladly accept returns on full-priced orders and changes within 15 days of delivery. 
Please note we share the cost of return process with our customers and charge a $30.00 restocking fee on refunds.

You must send an email to the following address: juan@mechamendez.com in order to manage the exchange or return of the purchased product, indicating:
-Name and last name contained in the order form
-Order number and product details: article, model and color
-In addition, include information on the product to be changed (if applicable): model, size and color.

Once you request the exchange or return for your product, we will send you a label to print and paste on the box. Once you have the package done, you must drop it off on the nearest carrier store we will indicate via email. 

Payments can be made through Paypal, Amazon Pay, Stripe, Apple Pay. 

In case of returns, refunds will be made once the product reaches our warehouse (12-16 business days), and the corresponding quality control is approved.
The refund of the purchase will be made through the corresponding payment method you use for the purchase.
The refund of the purchase will be made provided it:
-Is in new condition
-Hasn’t been washed, worn, or altered
-Is accompanied by the original invoice and packaging

We recommend to give your bag the regular use. 
The materials we use are resistant and gets better with use! 
You can also expose the bag to the sun light and you will see how it takes a more intense color. 
Please try to avoid managing the bag when wearing hands cream or oils, as the leather generally absorbs this products, leaving darker stains on the bag.

Don't worry! We recommend to soak a cloth in water and wipe over the entire surface of the bag to even out the tone. Let it dry at room temperature.
